MORE than 1,000 Italian cars, including many classic Alfa Romeos, will fill Brooklands Museum’s grounds to overflowing this Saturday, May 4 – and the most exciting of them will be seen and heard in action on the Mercedes-Benz World circuit.
All the great Italian marques, including Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Fiat and Lancia, will be there, together with an extensive Trade Village, club displays and special catering throughout the site.
This year will be the 27th anniversary of the UK’s first and finest all-Italian car event, which moved to the birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation 22 years ago.
The gates open at 8.30am and the timetable for the day includes an hour of demonstration runs for some very special cars on the Mercedes-Benz World handling circuit from 12 noon, and a session on the famous Brooklands Test Hill in the afternoon.
Parking for Italian cars is on the Museum site via the Campbell Gate accessed from Brooklands Road, the B374, although owners are advised to arrive early to guarantee a space.
Parking for non-Italian cars will be in The Heights off Wellington Way. Visitors are advised to follow the special event signage on the day.
