AN Alfa Romeo Type P2 tin-plate model, produced by C.I.J of France, is due to come under the hammer at a specialist classic car auction next week.
The Alfa is described as having all parts present, including a winding key, and has been the subject of an older restoration to a high standard. It carries an estimate of £3,000 to £3,500.
The model is included in the automobilia & memorabilia section of the Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions’ winter sale, being held at the Gartell Light Railway, Common Lane, Tenston, near Templecombe, Somerset, this Thursday, December 6.
For model collectors with less deep pockets, there is also a Rio model of an Alfa Romeo Mono Posto, which is being sold as a single lot along with a Dugu Fiat F2, a Ferrari 246 GTS and six Matchbox vintage cars – estimated at £20 to £25.
